The Guantanamo class stealth space combat carrier was developed by U.N. Spacy after Space War I as a successor to the ARMD class carrier. In addition to its stealth features, the Guantanamo possessed its own fold system. It featured a large forward launch bay and could accommodate up to 50 variable fighters. Its original armaments included a missile system and anti-ship/fighter weapons. Ships in service by the late 2050s instead featured twin beam guns and many CIWS beam guns. Guantanamo carriers were widely used in emigrant fleets, but also as part of planetary defense forces. The Guantanamo class was later succeeded by the Uraga class escort carrier, but both types of ships frequently operated side-by-side in fleets across the galaxy as late as 2067.
