The Jupitris II was the second of the Jupitris class interplanetary transport ships that ferried Helium-3 for the Jupiter Energy Fleet back to Earth. While most of the ship’s space was devoted to storing Helium-3, the massive vessel could also support mobile suit production and maintenance. Following the end of the First Neo Zeon War in UC 0089, former AEUG pilots Judau Ashta and Roux Louka joined the crew of the Jupitris II as it departed from the Earth Sphere. During the journey, Judau used his repaired MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam to help an Elpeo Ple clone escaping from Neo Zeon remnants.
