The Laurasia class was ZAFT’s standard space battleship. Equipped with an array of energy cannons and railguns, the Laurasia class was more heavily armed than most Earth Alliance battleships. It also featured an internal storage hangar that could hold up to six mobile suits. The hangar, located in the lower section of the ship, could also separate and serve as an atmospheric re-entry capsule. Despite the introduction of the faster and more powerful Nazca class, the Laurasia class continued to function as ZAFT’s workhorse ship throughout the Bloody Valentine War.
