The Macross Cannon class was a super dimension fortress that combined the transforming cruiser design of the Macross with four Zentradi ship-sized heavy converging energy beam cannons. During the Mardook War of 2092, U.N. Spacy deployed multiple Macross Cannons against the Mardook. The super dimension fortresses initially performed well, but they were ultimately overwhelmed by the enemy forces. One of the Macross Cannons was commanded by ace pilot Nexx Gilbert.
