In late C.E. 71, Junk Guild technician Lowe Guele forged a 150 meter “Gerbera Straight” katana using rare metal from a meteor that crashed to Earth. The blade proved too large for Lowe’s MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame, so he created the Power Loader support unit. However, the Power Loader was destroyed during a battle with ZAFT pilot Ash Gray’s ZGMF-X11A Regenerate Gundam. To wield the giant blade, Lowe created a new pair of arms for the Red Frame, which utilized new power cylinders created by engineer/mobile suit pilot Jean Carrey. Dubbed Powered Red, Lowe used the upgraded arms during his final battle with Ash’s Regenerate Gundam. Afterward, Lowe removed the powered arms and restored the original arms.
