Although most mobile suits were used in combat, some were designated for civilian use. In C.E. 71, former Astray project technician Yoon Sefan designed a civilian use mobile suit, the MWF-JG71 Raysta. In addition to the standard Raysta, Yoon also designed a custom Raysta for herself. Aside from the color scheme, Yoon’s Raysta featured a custom backpack and storage containers. While working in South America in December C.E. 71, Yoon accidentally stumbled onto the scene of a battle between Courtney Hieronymus’ ZGMF-X999A ZAKU Mass Production Trial Type and a a group of Earth Alliance GAT-02L2 Dagger Ls. Luckily for Yoon, former Orb Union pilot Barry Ho took control of the Raysta, briefly engaged Courtney and escaped to safety.
