The Silver Chalice Treaty that ended the wars of the old era also included restrictions on development of new military weapons. As a result, the Earth Federation Forces turned to a civilian mobile standard, the CMS-328 Desperado, and modified it for combat use as the RGE-B790 Genoace. The Genoace’s armaments included a beam spray gun, a heat stick and a shield. When the Unknown Enemy began attacking in AG 101, the Genoace proved vastly inferior to its new opponents, as its weapons were largely ineffective. As a mass production model, it was common to see customized versions of the Genoace in both the military and civilian world. In AG 115, a Genoace unit piloted by Largan Drace had its armor upgraded and was equipped with a DODS gun designed by the AGE System. These upgrades allowed it to fight more evenly against UE suits like the ovv-f Gafran.
