The YG-111 Gundam G-Self was capable of mounting multiple equipment packs for specific mission profiles, and one such configuration was the BPAM-02 Space Backpack manufactured by the Amerian Forces. The Space Backpack could also connect to the Core Fighter and expand its capabilities. The Space Backpack featured no special equipment, but it was highly versatile and allowed the Gundam G-Self to engage in high mobility combat. In this configuration, the Gundam G-Self was armed with its standard vulcan guns, beam sabers, beam rifle and shield.
