The YG-111 Gundam G-Self was an experimental mobile suit manufactured in Towasanga using data from the Rose of Hermes blueprints in the possession of the Rayhunton family. The YG-111 was not formally adopted by Towasanga, and the one unit that was constructed was repurposed by Rayhunton retainers Lorucca Biskes and Miraji Barbaros to include a “Rayhunton Code” that used the biological data of the missing Rayhunton children to help find and protect them. The YG-111 incorporated a photon frame and was powered by photon batteries. Like other G-type mobile suits, it included a universal standard control scheme that allowed anyone to easily pilot it. Additionally, the cockpit could detach and function separately as a Core Fighter.

The YG-111’s base armaments included a pair of vulcan guns and beam sabers, a beam rifle and shield, which includes vulcans, sliding beam reflects and can generate a photon shield. Its armaments could be expanded for different missions by mounting seven specialized packs. These packs required a skilled pilot as the universal standard control scheme did not apply to them. In RC 1014, the YG-111 was sent to Earth on a reconnaissance mission with Raraiya Akuparl as its pilot. The suit was briefly captured by the Capital Army before falling into the possession of the Amerian Forces ship Megafauna. Aida Surugan, secretly one of the missing Rayhunton children, remarked on the suit’s resemblance to her MSAM-033 Gundam G-Arcane and named it G-Self. Afterward, the Gundam G-Self became the main mobile suit of Bellri Zenam, a former Capital Guard cadet (and the other missing Rayhunton child).
