The YG-111 Gundam G-Self was capable of mounting multiple equipment packs for specific mission profiles, and one such configuration was the BPAM-03 Reflector Pack manufactured by the Amerian Forces. Equipping the Reflector Pack changed the Gundam G-Self’s color scheme to light blue and purple. When opened, the Reflector Pack’s panels could absorb an enemy beam attack and convert it into photon energy to deploy a defensive I-field. This ability was developed from research into the photon armor utilized by the Gundam G-Self’s original Towasanga-manufactured shield. The Reflector Pack’s panels have an absorption limit and automatically separate once that limit is reached. In this configuration, the Gundam G-Self’s armaments included vulcan guns, beam sabers and a beam rifle.
