The AIF-9V Ghost was an unmanned drone fighter manufactured and used by the Macross Galaxy fleet. The AIF-9V’s design was based closely on the AIF-X-9 Ghost, which had its development discontinued in 2040 following the Sharon Apple Incident. The AIF-9V was a high performance fighter armed with a gun pod and many missiles. In 2059, the Macross Galaxy fleet deployed the AIF-9V against the Macross Frontier fleet while attempting to seize control of the alien Vajra.
