The FF-X7Bst-II Core Booster II Intercept Type was a fighter used by the Earth Federation Forces during the One Year War. Based on the FF-X7Bst Core Booster, the Intercept Type was modified to engage enemy craft at high altitudes. The Intercept Type was armed with a Gatling gun, four vulcan guns and two air-to-air missiles. In December UC 0079, two Intercept Types shot down a Gaw near Jaburo after it recovered the experimental MSM-07Di Ze’Gok.
