The Giga was a high-speed courier ship belonging to the Junk Guild. Captained by Speedy Joe, the ship was contracted to help the Re.H.O.M.E. and another ship deliver a vaccine for the Type S2 Influenza to a space colony at Lagrange point 4. En route, the three ships were attacked by the ZAFT space station Erudou. The Giga was heavily damaged, but just before it was destroyed, MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame pilot Lowe Guele cut the cockpit free and saved Joe’s life.
