The GX-9999 Gundam X Maoh was a custom Gunpla built by Mao Yasaka and based on the GX-9900 Gundam X from the 1996 anime TV series After War Gundam X. A native of Kyoto, Mao was a student of the Gunpla Shingyo school, studying under Master Chinan. Mao’s Gunpla retained the basic armaments of its anime inspiration, but the satellite cannon was upgraded to the more powerful hyper satellite cannon. The large beam sword could be used in conjunction with the satellite cannon to unleash the super powered Maoh Sword. In the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championship, Mao was eliminated after losing a battle to Sei Iori and Reiji’s GAT-X105B/ST Star Build Strike Gundam. Afterward, the Gundam X Maoh was destroyed in a Gunpla Battle against Julian Mackenzie’s F91 Gundam F91 Imagine. Mao later constructed the XM-X9999 Crossbone Gundam Maoh, which he used as part of the team effort after the tournament’s conclusion to stop the out of control Arista crystal.
