The PFF-X7II Core Gundam II was an upgraded version of the PFF-X7 Core Gundam developed by the Diver Hiroto (aka Hiroto Kuga). After learning the truth of the Story missions on planet Eldora, Hiroto upgraded the original Core Gundam to improve its armaments and mobility. The Core Gundam II was still capable of docking with all the armor sets from the PLANETS System, but it could now combine with its new Core Defenser for a flight form called the Core Flyer. The Core Gundam II’s armaments included beam vulcans and the core spray gun. The Core Defenser could also function as a shield and had built-in beam vulcans. Hiroto later upgraded the unit into the PFF-X7II+ Core Gundam II plus.
