The RGM-79K9 GM Sniper K9 was a custom Gunpla built by the Renato brothers of Argentina. It was based on the RGM-79SP GM Sniper II from the 1989 anime OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. The Gunpla was modified to incorporate the high performance EXAM System from the video game and manga series The Blue Destiny. It also utilized the detachable DP-K9 K9 dog pack, a support unit that could mount the Gunpla’s beam sniper rifle. The dog pack also carried a small APC with 1/144 scale soldiers that could be used for covert operations, such as planting explosives on an enemy Gunpla. The K9 was also armed with a standard sniper rifle, a machine gun, a heat knife and pairs of beam guns and beam sabers. During the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championship, the Renato brothers used the K9 to defeat Thailand representative Luang Dallara’s ZM-D11GRB Abigorbine. However, in their next battle, they lost to Meijin Kawaguchi’s PPMS-18E Kämpfer Amazing.
