Technical and Historical Notes
The final, ultimate weapon of the Jupiter Empire, the EMA-10 Divinidad was
intended for nothing short of mass destruction. This ironically angelic
mobile armor actually required two separate fusion reactors to power
its massive body. With its reactors and its compliment of sixteen
nuclear missiles, the Divinidad could be considered a walking warhead.
For more conventional combat, the Divinidad mounted a giant mega
particle cannon in its head, similar to the EMS-VSX1 Quavarze. The left
side of its face was given over to a medium-sized beam cannon, and the
arms mounted large beam shields similar in design to the EMS-06 Batara.
Completing its deadly arsenal was a set of feather funnels, which were
strong enough to be used as remote melee weapons, crashing into enemies
and surviving the impact. Thanks to its overwhelming power, even a
single Divinidad would be all that was needed to destroy all life on
the planet Earth. However, to ensure his plan's success, Jupiter Empire
president Crux Dogatie piloted all eight Divinidads personally. This
was possible thanks to the organic control system first tested in the
EMA-06 Elegolea. While the real Dogatie piloted the lead Divinidad,
clone pods containing his DNA controlled the other seven.
However, when the Divinidads were unleashed upon the Earth, they encountered fierce resistance from the combined Crossbone Vanguard and Earth Federation Forces. While the seven clone units were destroyed in orbit, the real Dogatie's Divinidad escaped into Earth's atmosphere, pursued by Kincado Nau, Tobia Arronax, and their Crossbone Gundams. In a desperate battle over the ocean, Tobia managed to disable the Divinidad's nuclear missiles by slicing off their warheads. However, Dogatie was able to destroy the Muramasa blaster and tried to fire his the large mega particle cannon, hoping to finish off the youth. Faced with no alternative, Tobia flew the X-3 into the Divinidad's cannon, overloaded its I-field, and ejected in his Core Fighter just as the blast destroyed the two machines. Dogatie managed to survive the destruction, but Kincado swept in to save Tobia and used the X-1 Kai's screw whip to finish the mad conqueror once and for all.
