Summary

Corin carries Dianna on his back as they travel across the countryside. Corin hears a flute playing and goes into a nearby village and speaks to the kids playing at. On the Willghem, Guin tells Horace and Sid to hurry repairs so that he can be in a better position to negotiate with the Moonrace. Horace reminds Guin that he isn't a magician. Miashei tends to a cut on Sochie's head and tries to talk to Loran, but he isn't paying attention. The hospital's head nurse asks Loran if Kihel can help out, but he explains she isn't around. Sochie says that Loran and Kihel think they are important, and she storms off. At the Moonrace camp, Pou tends to a cut on Phil's hand as he plans their next attack. Gavane returns to camp and tells Sochie that they've found a new mountain area that might have more mobile suits. She wants to come along, but he tells her he doesn't want his bride to have any scars. Corin carves a figurine for the kids and tells them he is seeing things now because he doesn't know when he will die. On the Soleil, Ralfa explains to Kihel that they've found a mountain area that might have mobile suits. Miran suggests using mobile suits to dig the area out, and Ralfa agrees. Harry leaves, and one of his Royal Guard officers reports that Dianna has been found. He shows Harry a picture of Dianna in the village with Corin, and Harry is shocked that Corin is still alive. The Gallop speeds through a canyon, and Bruno and Jacop ask Loran if it's all right that they aren't going to the Willghem. Loran explains that Kihel is an important sponsor to Guin and must be found. At the village, Dianna and Corin join the children for a meal and eat burritos. After eating they go with the children into the village to see a crop festival. Loran tries to use infrared to search for Dianna, but all he detects is cows. He arrives at the village and splits up with Bruno and Jacop to search for Dianna. Loran sees a Rib placing floats on a river, and he is surprised to see a float of the Turn A. The Rib pilots explain that they are Moonrace and that Keith helped them prepare a joint Moonrace/Earth celebration. As Loran watches the parade, he hears Dianna and sees her run underneath him. She asks him why he is there, and he explains that he has come to look for her.

Corin sits with the kid and carves another figure. Loran sits with Dianna, and they are both amazed by the join Earth/Moonrace celebration. He tells her that she should do something similar. She says she has to go back to the Moon to end the war, and he asks how she will do that without the Soleil. She explains that she will use Sackträger, a route in space between the Earth and the Moon. Though it's supposed to be closed, she senses that it is now open. As the parade continues, Corin sees the Turn A float and begins to panic. He starts chasing it and knocks over Dianna and Loran. He then jumps into the river and swims over to the float. Corin starts to beat up the float, and Dianna tries to explain that it isn't really the Turn A. Bruno and Jacop panic at the site of Corin and run away. Corin sees a Rib nearby and steals it to attack the Turn A float. Loran jumps onto the float and tries to show Corin that it's just made of paper. Corin says that anyone who follows the evil Gundam will be hurt. As he is about to attack with the Rib, Harry appears with his SUMO and grabs the Rib. Dianna tells him to take Corin away, and he flies off. As Harry flies through the air, Corin jumps out of the Rib and lands in the forest. He accidentally runs into Bruno and Jacop and grabs them both. Loran gets into the Turn A, and the Gallop suddenly speeds away and causes Loran to fall. Corin is forcing Bruno and Jacop to help him attack Loran. Corin fires a bazooka at Loran, but the shells bounce off the Turn A. He jumps onto the Turn A's mustache, and Loran grabs him. Jacop shows up in his Godwin, and Corin steals it and tosses Jacop out. As Loran grabs Jacop, Corin aims his railgun at the Turn A's head. Harry arrives with the SUMO and slices into the railgun with his heat fan. Corin is knocked away, and Harry tells Loran to use the Turn A float against Corin. Corin pulls out the heat hawk and attacks the Turn A. He beheads the Turn A with the heat hawk, but what he actually cut was the float that Loran was holding in front of him. Thinking that the Turn A is defeated, Corin says goodbye to the kids and leaves the village.

Commentary

This was a pretty odd episode. Corin and Dianna visit a village that looks like it's probably in Mezico, judging by the looks of the people. We do see that the Moonrace and Earth people can get along, as evidenced by the joint celebration in the crop festival. Unfortunately people like Phil are preventing that from being more widespread. Corin is quite clearly a madman, but his battle with the Turn A in the volcano seems to have made him more insane (if that's even possible). It seems just the sight of the Turn A will set him off, be it real or not. Dianna mentions Sackträger here, and it seems to be some route between the Earth and the Moon. This probably was her destination when she decided to run away in the last episode.
