In space,
a group of Taurus mobile dolls destroys a squad of Alliance space
Leos. Now that most of Earth is under OZ's control, attention is
now being placed on the colonies and the remaining Alliance forces.
A made over Lady Une arrives in colony area D to convince its leaders
to accept OZ's rule. This new Lady Une is dressed very attractively,
and her personality is the exact opposite of the uber-bitch seen
back on Earth. There is great debate among the leaders of the colony
as to whether OZ's intentions are noble or if it is a ploy. Some
even believe their actions are atonement for the assassination of
colony leader Heero Yuy in AC 175. On Earth, Duo and Quatre hear
about OZ's expansion into space and decide that they need to return
to space and put an end to that. Quatre believes they should attract
as much attention as possible so that OZ is no longer seen as a
peaceful group. He also wants to get the message out to Heero, Trowa,
and Wufei so that they can return to space as well. The two take
off in their stolen plane. In
space, the colony leaders continue to debate while Lady Une clears
out Alliance space mines with her subordinate Nichol and a group
of Taurus mobile dolls. When she returns to the colony, she puts
on her OZ uniform and becomes bad again. She is informed that a
Gundam engineer was captured after destroying his factory. She interrogates
Professor G, a mad scientist with a deformed nose who designed the
Deathscythe.
The interrogation
is interrupted when she is told that Duo and Quatre are attacking
the OZ spaceport at Singapore. Duo and Quatre face heavy resistance
from squads of Leos and Tragos troops. News quickly spreads around
the world about their attack, and they see that Heero and Trowa
are attacking spaceports as well. The leaders of colony area D review
the data about the Gundams and decides they are dangerous. They
make a statement declaring the Gundams as their enemies. As the
battle continues, Wufei arrives to lend his aid. He and Duo load
their Gundams into shuttles while Quatre covers them. With no weapons
left, he decides to self detonate Sandrock and leaves. As his shuttle
takes off, Sandrock explodes and destroys the Leos. In space, Doctor
J surrenders when Lady Une threatens to damage the colony he is
in. He is taken to a cell with the other captured scientists Proffesor
G, Doktor S, Instructor H, and Master O. They vow to make OZ pay.
Lady Une is informed that five shuttles are leaving Earth and heading
for the colonies.
Well, this
is probably the most action and story packed episode since the time
that Heero self detonated. Speaking of that, it seems that self
detonation is becoming quite a fashion trend these days. In no other
Gundam series do you ever see anyone self detonating for
a simple reason: IT'S STUPID! Gundams are expensive to build and
are valuable weapons. As it stands, the Gundams in this universe
are invincible anyway, so self detonation is a cheap gimmick to
rebuild them with upgrades. As far as the story goes, the colony's
decision to declare the Gundams as enemies is an interesting turn.
Also, what's the deal with Lady Une? She looks a lot better in her
new outfit, but she becomes evil in her old one. Can anyone say
'split personality disorder'?
