Haman boards
the Sadalahn and has its main cannons fired at Hayato Kobayashi's
Audhumla. Hayato has the Audhumla fly as close as
possible to the sea to avoid Haman's attacks. August Guidan's Dreissen
squad launches from the ship and joins the battle. In Dakar, Beecha's
Hyaku Shiki and Elle's Mk II are pinned down by the enemy. Iino
tells them over the radio to go out to sea because Judau crashed,
so they borrow two Dodai Kais from some GM III's and fly away. Ple
senses where Judau is and guides Mondo to a small island where the
Neo Core Fighter crashed. They find Judau and Leina unconscious,
and Ple tells Mondo to get medicine. Leina wakes up, and Ple tells
her to leave Judau to rest. She tells Leina that Judau has worked
to hard to rescue her and will end up being killed if he has to
keep protecting her. Leina reluctantly agrees and follows Ple deeper
into the island. Roux and Iino land on the island and join Mondo
as he sprays Judau with medicine to wake him up. Judau sees that
Leina is gone, and Mondo tells him that Ple took her. Beecha and
Elle approach the island, but they are spotted by Glemy's Bawoo
and Amatha Pola's Dowadge. Ple and Leina stop near a small cabin,
and Leina grabs a big stick. She says that she has to protect Judau,
and Ple grabs a pipe. She says she has no family and wants Judau,
and they begin to fight. Judau finds Ple holding Leina in a stranglehold
and tells her to stop. He says they are all family and that it's
Glemy's fault for teaching Ple how to fight. Ple lets Leina go and
begins to cry. Judau senses that everyone else is having a hard
time in the battle, and Ple agrees to take care of Leina while he
fights. Judau runs back to the Neo Core Fighter and smacks the control
panel to make it start up.
Iino is
chased by Glemy, and Judau attacks Glemy. Judau says he wants to
form Double Zeta and tells Iino that the dumped the Core Base in
flight. Elle spots the Core Base stuck in the sand and has Mondo
attach cables from the Mega Rider to it to tow it out of the sand.
The Argama appears on the horizon, and Bright wants to fire
the hyper mega particle gun at Haman. Haman has the Sadalahn take
off and fly through Dakar to use the city as a shield. Ple takes
Leina inside the cabin and sees that she has a high fever, so she
runs off to get some water. Haman continues to fire at the Argama
as the Sadalahn escapes to the other side of the sea.
Bright has the hyper mega particle gun fired over Dakar, and it
hits the Sadalahn. August and his Dreissens join Glemy in
trying to stop Judau from forming Double Zeta. Beecha and Elle get
the Core Base in the air, and Judau manages to dock with it. August
attacks him and tries to stop him from docking with Iino. Judau
manages to dock and form Double Zeta, and August leaves the battle
to return to the Sadalahn. Judau tells Glemy that he's too
dangerous and slices apart his Base Jabber. Glemy hitches a ride
on Amatha's Base Jabber, and she attacks Judau. She grabs onto Double
Zeta's leg and tries to get it to crash onto the island. Roux grabs
onto Glemy, and the tells her he's willing to die at her hands.
Roux is distracted, and Glemy knocks her off the Base Jabber. Amatha
attacks Roux with a beam saber, and Roux fires at Amatha, sending
her Dowadge out of control. Ple runs back to the cabin, and the
Dowadge crashes into the cabin and explodes. Judau runs to the cabin,
and Ple says she was getting water. Glemy lands nearby and is told
Leina is dead before running off. Judau doesn't want to accept the
truth, and Roux tells him that him dying will do nothing. Ple tells
Judau she can be Leina for him, and he smacks her.
The second
half of this two-parter proved to be action-packed and filled with
some good drama. It's good to see Hayato make a brief cameo, as
well as the return of the Argama. We're introduced to two
new characters, August Gidan and Amatha Pola. As the events of the
episode show, Amatha didn't last too long. There's a confrontation
between Leina and Ple, and we see how jealous Ple is of Leina for
being Judau's sister. We also get some introspection from Glemy
as he wonders how it is he could have Leina die and be betrayed
by Ple. Up until now, Judau's been part of the war for profit first
and then his desire to rescue Leina. With her gone, his reason now
can be out of hatred and revenge. Having a mobile suit fall on you
and explode is an original way to die in a Gundam series,
but it's a shame Tomino doesn't quite leave it at that.
