Super Robot Wars Original Generation ~Divine Wars~
Directed by Hiroyuki Kakudou (Digimon) with character designs by Yuji Ikeda (Dragon Ball Z) and mecha designs by Hajime Katoki (Gundam), Kazutaka Miyatake (Macross) and Kunio Okawara (Gundam), the Super Robot Wars Original Generation ~Divine Wars~ TV series is based off the events of the first game. After two meteors cause great destruction on Earth, a third one crashes. This third meteor contains an advanced technology called Extra Over Technology, or EOT. Humans apply this technology and create mechs known as Personal Troopers. 18-year-old Ryusei Date dreams of one day piloting his own super robot. He gets his chance when alien creatures known as the Aerogators attack and force him into a PT. The TV series was released on DVD in the U.S. by Bandai Visual, but is now out of print. A sequel series based on the second game, Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The Inspector, was released in Japan in 2010.
