Armor Hunter Merowlink
(aka Leechers Army Merowlink)

Released in 1988, Armor Hunter Merowlink is a 12 episode side story directed by Takeyuki Kanda (Dragonar, Gundam: The 08th MS Team) that takes place before the VOTOMS TV series. Unlike the other VOTOMS OVAs, Merowlink is an original story with a new cast that does not feature main protagonist Chirico Cuvie. In this story, the fighting between the Gilgamesh Confederation and the Balarant Union has temporarily ceased. A young armor hunter named Merowlink Ality, armed only with an anti-AT rifle, seeks revenge upon the Gilgamesh officers who betrayed him and his friends. To fulfill this quest for vengeance, Merowlink hunts down the traitors one by one. Merowlink was released on DVD in Japan in 2006, but it hasn't been licensed for release in the U.S.
