In today's update, Tony continues his re-do of Eureka Seven with reviews (and new screenshots) for episodes 2-7.
05.03.13 - Attack of the killer tomatoes by Chris 11:09 A.M.
The time for more tomatoes has arrived, and Brian serves them up today with reviews for episodes 20-22 of The Big O.
04.03.13 - Unicorns and rainbows by Chris 8:03 P.M.
It's been a long time since the last time I covered Gundam Unicorn, but today I have a review for episode 6. There are also some updates for the Unicorn mecha section, along with MSV-R, Unknown Soldiers and EXA-LOG.
04.01.13 - Birthday cake overload by Chris 10:09 A.M.
The time has arrived for fake news and pranks, which means it's also MAHQ's birthday. For those keeping count, today marks the site's 13th anniversary. Yes, that is a ridiculously long time to run a website, but I'm still here. On behalf of Dale (who is currently in Japan), I'd like to thank everyone who has helped us out over the years, whether it's lineart, mecha profiles, model reviews, anime reviews or corrections. Of course, I'd also like to thank our visitors, as your continued support makes this site possible.
We launched our redesign exactly three years ago today, and as anyone can see, it's still a work in progress. It's taken longer than we intended, but it can't be helped when it's a two-man job. I view it as being equivalent to a long-term highway construction project that takes several years. Sure, it would probably go faster if you could just close the entire highway, but you've got to keep it open for regular commuters. For us, we have to balance creating new content while also working on converting old content. However, with most of the Mecha section done, we've gone over the big hump. What remains now is far less than what has already been completed.
Finally, it's been a tradition here to have a major update to mark the anniversary, and this year is no different. Sometimes it means debuting new sections, but that's not the case this year. First, we hit the reset button on Eureka Seven as Tony Myers joins the crew and reviews episode 1. Next, Arshad is back with reviews for episodes 26-30 of Fighbird. Finally, I've got new reviews for episodes 5-12 of Orguss.
03.21.13 - Live Free or Tomato Hard by Chris 11:27 A.M.
If you're expecting more Big O in today's update, you're right. Brian continues his coverage of the second season with reviews for episodes 17-19.
03.07.13 - Tomato Hard With a Vengeance by Chris 3:19 P.M.
There are several reviews on the platter in today's update. First up, Brian moves into season two of The Big O with reviews for episodes 14-16. Next, I have a review for the new 08th MS Teamshort film.
02.27.13 - Enter the Magic Knights by Chris 11:39 A.M.
It's not often that we launch two new sections so closely together, but today another series joins MAHQ's review ranks. Peter kicks off our coverage of CLAMP's Magic Knight Rayearth with reviews for episodes 1-5 of the TV series.
On a separate note, Will has informed me that he unfortunately won't be able to finish reviews for Eureka Seven. That means I'm opening it up for submissions to have someone take over. However, I want a few things to be clear beforehand. If you're interested in this work, it means covering all of the TV series, including starting over from episode 1. It also means reviewing the movie and Astral Ocean, so that's roughly at least 75 reviews. I'm open to all submissions, but please try to edit your work as much as possible for spelling and grammar before sending something in. Also, if your life situation is that you're a college student struggling to keep up with your course work or a part-time job, please don't apply. That's been a problem too many times in the past. I'm really looking for people who have the free time to commit to this and aren't juggling multiple responsibilities. If after all of this you're still interested, please send me a sample review for episode 1 (of the first TV series).
There will be more Orguss on the way, but today's update is something different. Peter returns with a review for the Fafner movie Heaven and Earth. Since that wraps up that section (until Exodus), watch for something new soon from Peter.
02.13.13 - Where are you going? by Chris 11:55 A.M.
I'd mentioned a long time ago that Orguss reviews would eventually be coming down the pike, and that time has come. There's a new section for the series, along with reviews for episodes 1-4 of the TV show.
02.01.13 - Attack of the MegaDeus by Chris 11:38 A.M.
Brian is back with reviews for episodes 11-13 of The Big O, which brings the first season to a close.
01.15.13 - Pirates of the Universal Century by Chris 6:40 P.M.
There's a large overhaul for Crossbone Gundam on the horizon in today's update. AmuroNT1 has created custom color lineart (with scans courtesy of Deacon Blues) for nearly every unit appearing in Crossbone Gundam, Skull Heart and Steel 7. The update also includes revised specs and updated and new Burke's style profiles in all three sections.
Today's update features the largest infusion of new lineart in who knows how long. First, Red Zaku sent in some new lineart for MSV and the original Gundam. The bulk of today's massive update is courtesy of Kuruni. The list of updates would be too long to reproduce here, so instead refer to the two most recent pages of this thread for a breakdown of his contributions.
01.11.13 - Fighbird for the New Year by Chris 9:24 P.M.
For our first update of 2013, Arshad returns with reviews for episodes 21-25 of Fighbird.
