The Macross Quarter was a class of transformable space aircraft carriers in active use in the late 21st century. The class name came from the fact that with a length of 400 meters, it was one quarter the size of NUNS’ larger New Macross class carriers. As with previous ships bearing the Macross name, the Macross Quarter class could transform from ship to storm attack mode. The Macross Quarter was made up of five connected smaller ships: the main body, a forward port aircraft carrier (ARMD-L), a forward starboard gunship (ARMD-R), a rear port warship (BASTER-L) and a rear starboard warship (BASTER-R). Each warship was equipped with its own reaction engine and could operate independently. The Macross Quarter’s armaments included the main gunship heavy quantum reaction cannon (aka Macross Cannon), 24 quarter cannon beam gun turrets, a pinpoint barrier and reaction weapons. The ship’s complement included up to 80 variable fighters, destroids and other mecha. In 2059, the Macross Quarter 23 was part of an SMS reinforcement fleet sent to provide backup to the Macross Frontier fleet in the final battle of the Vajra War.
