Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Phantom Arc

Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Phantom Arc is an OVA series released in Japan in 2010. It is a sequel to the 1994 OVA series Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Brilliantly Shining Heresy. The series is directed by Ryosuke Takahashi, who leads a team that includes writer Fuyunori Gobu, mechanical designer Kunio Okawara, character designer Norio Shioyama and composers Hiroki Inui and Yasuaki Maejima. The series focuses on Chirico Cuvie’s old friends from the TV series, who carry out a search to reunite with him 32 years after he went into stasis. A later produced OVA, Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Chirico’s Return, serves as a prequel to Phantom Arc. The series has been released on home video in North America by Sentai Filmworks’ Maiden Japan label.
