One of the Jupiter Empire's mobile suits, the EMS-09 Vagon was based on technology from the EMS-06 Batara. Though it was overall very many similar to the Batara, the Vagon's most distinctive feature was the segmented wheel sections mounted on its shoulders and feet. By drawing its legs up into its body, the Vagon could connect the wheels and use them for high-speed ground travel. However, this design meant that the Vagon was limited in weaponry, possessing only a standard Batara beam rifle. The Vagon was first used to defend the Jupiter Empire's Io base from a surprise attack by the Crossbone Vanguard, but saw little combat after failing to defend the base.
