Technical and Historical Notes

In C.E. 71, ZAFT creates the YMF-X000A Dreadnought Gundam to serve as a testbed for the Neutron Jammer Canceler and DRAGOON remote weapon system. After testing is completed, the suit falls into the hands of the Junk Guild and is piloted by Prayer Reverie, a representative of Reverend Malchio. During the Bloody Valentine War, Prayer has several battles with Canard Pars, a Eurasian Federation operative and pilot of the CAT1-X1/3 Hyperion Gundam Unit 1. In their final battle, the Hyperion Gundam is destroyed and Prayer seemingly dies from flaws in the cloning process that created him. Afterward, Canard and Junk Guild pilot Lowe Guele remodel the Dreadnought Gundam into the YMF-X000A/H Dreadnought H. This modified unit removes some of the armaments of the Dreadnought Gundam and adds features from the Hyperion Gundam. Gone is the DRAGOON pack, now replaced by a set of beam cannons/sabers. In Buster mode, the cannons are positioned over the shoulders, similar to the Hyperion Gundam's "Forfanterie" beam cannon. In Sword mode, the cannons swing under the arms and function as beam sabers, with a pair of CIWS guns mounted on the shoulders. The remote-guided "Pristis" beam reamers on the hip armor have been replaced with the Hyperion Gundam's "Armure Lumiere" lightwave defensive barrier and mount over the forearms when used as shields. Finally, the Hyperion Gundam's "Zastava Stigmate" beam sub-machine gun has been carried over to the Dreadnought H. Having defected from the Eurasian Federation, Canard works as a pilot for the Junk Guild. Soon after the war's end, Canard uses the Dreadnought H to assist Lowe when ZAFT attempts to capture GENESIS Alpha. By C.E. 73, Canard and the crew members of the Ortygia have struck out on their own to form a mercenary group. When the Earth Alliance attacks GENESIS Alpha and attempts to implicate the Junk Guild in the "Break the World" incident, Canard again comes to the Junk Guild's aid.
