Technical and Historical Notes

As the land combat MS-07B Gouf was being developed during the One Year War, one of its design features was the incorporation of thrusters in the legs to allow it to perform jet-powered jumps. This idea convinced Zeonic Company to incorporate the idea into its Zaku II line, and several land combat-type MS-06J Zaku IIs were modified in such a manner. The result was the MS-06G Zaku II Improved Ground Combat Type (or "G-type"), which featured extra armor and the additional leg thrusters to increase mobililty.
