Technical and Historical Notes

The final evolution of the MS-16X [Bishop] plan is the MSN-02 Perfect Zeong. Based on the data obtained from the MSN-01 High Mobility Psycommu System Zaku units, Zeon researchers construct the Perfect Zeong. Due to the size and power required for the output of the Perfect Zeong, its powerplant is 3.8 times greater then the standard mobile suit. The rockets that are used without the legs on the MSN-02 Zeong are mounted on the legs themselves in the completed version. Overall, three Zeong units are produced, and one such unit is only 80 percent complete and piloted by ace Newtype pilot Char Aznable. That unit is destroyed by Amuro Ray's RX-78-2 Gundam at the Battle of A Baoa Qu on December 31, UC 0079. In early U.C. 0083, Char pilots a completed Perfect Zeong unit shortly after his return to the Earth Sphere from Axis.
