Technical and Historical Notes

The GT-9600-DV Gundam Leopard da Vinci was a custom Gunpla built by team G-Master member Akira Suga. It was based on the GT-9600 Gundam Leopard from the 1996 anime TV series After War Gundam X. The Gunpla’s name was a play on the name of Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. Its armaments included pairs of vulcan guns, cannons, beam rifles, hyper beam Gatling guns, beam cannons, and missile pods. During the Meijin Cup Gunpla competition, Akira challenged Sekai Kamiki’s KMK-B01 Kamiki Burning Gundam to a fight.
