Technical and Historical Notes

The Medea was a class of transport plane used by the Earth Federation Forces. The massive plane featured VTOL rotors that allowed it to take off from any location. Its large cargo container was attached to the bottom of the main body, underneath the main engines. The Medea was most often used to transport cargo, but it could also transport mobile suits for airdrop missions. The Medea was minimally armed with a pair of anti-air machine guns, which provided little protection for the frequent frontline duty that the planes saw. The Medea was widely deployed across Earth during the One Year War and after. The EFF also created the C-88 Medea, a variant unit with a redesigned fuselage.
