Technical and Historical Notes

The STH-20 Hekija was a high performance mobile suit developed by Teiwaz as the successor to the STH-05 Hyakuren and STH-14s Hyakuri. The development plan for the Hekija was to combine the high output level of the Hyakuren with the high mobility of the Hyakuri. The Hekija incorporated elements of those earlier designs, such as the high output shoulder and leg thrusters of the Hyakuri. In contrast to the contemporary STH-16 Shiden that was already in mass production, the Hekija required additional development time and was in the data collection stage with the Teiwaz subsidiary Turbines. The Hekija featured an Assault Mode, in which all the suit's thrusters were used for high mobility during combat, allowing for hit-and-run attacks. The suit's armaments included a 110mm bayonet rifle, a 4-tube rocket launcher, two arm-mounted rotating blades and a Tobiguchi blade. Following the disbanding of the Turbines, a Hekija unit was assigned to pilot Hush Middy of Tekkadan, which withdrew from Teiwaz to fight another subsidiary, JPT Trust, to avenge the Turbines. During the McGillis Fareed Incident, Hush was killed in combat against Gjallarhorn on Mars.
